A TV Movie by Daniel Faigle
My first 90 second clip I chose was called A TV Movie which was about a TV wanting to watch television and relax. I liked this clip due to it being funny and you were able to see the time that went into this to make it flow good. From looking at the clip I believe that the creator set out to make something not only have personified features but to also become living. The use of shots are well thought through due to the creator not only having to worry about what shots to use but also how much they moved the camera so that the piece worked and flowed together. The use of long shots and close ups enable the audience to understand what the television is wanting due to it having human actions. An example of this would be image 2 where the television is looking for the remote and realises it is out of reach. This is instantly able to portray to the audience that the television has similar actions that we are able to relate to. The zooms and the fades work well with the music to show drama and that something is about to occur next. For this I found that audience would be teenagers and above due to the silly aspect of an inanimate object coming alive. Overall this is a successful piece that uses lots of different shots to portray the realistic human actions that this television has.

A2042 by David Castro Gonzalez
My final clip is about a family argument that breaks out whilst at a photography shoot. I really liked this clip due to how the photographer continues to focus on her job even though she has hard clients to deal with. My favorite part was the spiteful comments that the couple make to each other whilst the photographer tries to make it a much happier photo. I believe this is aimed for young adults and above due to how people are able to relate to arguments that they have had that might be similar when they have been in a relationship. Within this clip there were lots of close ups on the characters faces to portray the emotions they are feeling. There is also a lot of long shots to show actions of characters. I found that they used a small amount of angles and shots but it worked due to the speed of the clip. The story being portrayed in the clip was slow and steady making it different and interesting for an argument as an audience would instantly assume shouting and screaming. This argument catches the audiences eye instantly and makes you intrigued on what is going to happen as well as what the characters will say next; making this my favorite clip.

My second clip was called A2042 which was about a riot police officer being too scared to help sort out the riots. I really like this clip because it held so many interesting things to make a further story. Having the camera close up to the police officers face enables the audience to question what is really going on at the beginning. Its a mystery and we wonder what has happened to this man to make him become breathless and panicked. Then the camera begins to zoom out and we are able to get more of the character and the setting. From this we pick up that he is an officer and is a rural, dirty area. When this happens we see that the shot changes from close up to medium and we become more aware of the noise from the riot in the background. As the clip comes to an end we see the camera changes once more into a wide shot making the audience get the impression that he is scared and vulnerable. The noise and the movements from the other people portray danger and we instantly feel sorry for the officer and wonder why he is so scared. I believe this is aimed at the audience of teenagers and above due to being able to understand what is going on and can easily relate to something that has scared them to that extreme.
